Его душа томилась в преисподней,
Хоть праведником он по жизни был:
Ни словом никому не делал больно,
А только всех жалел и всех любил.
Но вот настал момент освобожденья,
Когда Иисус Распятый в ад сошёл
И кающихся всех, без исключенья,
Освободив от уз, с Собой увёл,
Но праведник печалился немного,
Хоть радостью весь лик его сиял:
Родная мать не каялась пред Богом,
И Бог её с Собою в рай не взял.
И, подойдя к Его престолу, робко
У Господа за мать он попросил.
Но Бог сказал: «Не место, сын мой добрый,
В раю тому, кто лишь себя любил».
Но праведник, мученья ада помня,
И всей своей душой жалея мать,
Взывая к милосердию, упорно
Стал о её спасеньи умолять.
— Ну, хорошо, — Господь ему ответил, —
Я дам её душе последний шанс!
И повелел Он, чтобы ангел Света
Спустился в преисподнюю тотчас.
И вот она за ангела схватилась
И стала подниматься к небесам.
А за неё другие уцепились:
— И нам последний шанс!
И нам… и нам!..
Не в силах скрыть, как было ей досадно,
Она других пыталась оттолкнуть,
И падали с проклятьями обратно
В бесовский мрак и дьявольскую жуть.
Чем больше в ад людей она вернула,
Тем ангел тяжелее делал взмах.
Но вот она последнего столкнула,
И сил не стало в ангельских крылах.
И падала под тяжестью греховной,
Туда, откуда нет пути назад…
Вот также мы своею нелюбовью
Мостим себе подчас дорогу в ад!
Но человек свободен от рожденья,
И коль сумеем мы стяжать любовь,
Появится надежда на спасенье
И вера в то, что будет с нами Бог!

His soul languished in the underworld,
Even though he was a righteous person in life:
Didn't hurt anyone with a word,
But he only felt sorry for everyone and loved everyone.
But now the moment of liberation has come,
When Jesus crucified descended into hell
And all the penitents, without exception,
Freed from bonds, took with Himself,
But the righteous was a little sad,
Though his whole face shone with joy:
The mother did not repent before God,
And God did not take her to paradise with Himself.
And, approaching His throne, timidly
He asked the Lord for his mother.
But God said: “Not a place, my good son,
In paradise to those who only loved themselves.
But the righteous, remembering the torments of hell,
And with all my soul pitying my mother,
Calling for mercy, stubbornly
He began to beg for her salvation.
- Well, well, - the Lord answered him, -
I will give her soul one last chance!
And He commanded that the angel of Light
Went down to the underworld immediately.
And so she grabbed the angel
And she began to rise to heaven.
And others clung to her:
"And this is our last chance!"
And to us... and to us!..
Unable to hide how annoying she was,
She tried to push others away
And fell back with curses
Into demonic darkness and devilish horror.
The more people she brought back to hell,
The angel made the swing harder.
But now she pushed the last one,
And there was no strength in the angelic wings.
And fell under the weight of sin,
Where there is no turning back...
Here we are also with our dislike
We sometimes pave our way to hell!
But man is free from birth,
And if we manage to acquire love,
There will be hope for salvation
And faith that God will be with us!
