Der Rektor kam, holte mich schnaubend aus der Klasse raus, so stand ich da,
allein, stumm und geknickt.
Dann ließ er meine Eltern kommen, lehnte sich zurück, voll Selbstgerechtigkeit
genoß er schon
die Maulschellen für den Betrüger, das mißrat'ne Stück, diesen Urkundenfälscher,
ihren Sohn.
4. Mein Vater nahm das Zeugnis in die Hand und sah mich anund sagte ruhig:
Was mich anbetrifft,
so gibt es nicht die kleinste Spur eines Zweifels daran, das ist tatsächlich
meine Unterschrift.
Auch meine Mutter sagte, ja, das sei ihr Namenszug.
Gekritzelt zwar,
doch müsse man verstehn,
daß sie vorher zwei große, schwere Einkaufstaschen trug.

5. Ich hab noch manches lange Jahr auf Schulbänken verlor’nund lernte
widerspruchslos vor mich hin,
Namen, Tabellen, Theorien von hinten und von vorn, daß ich dabei nicht ganz
verblödet bin!
Nur eine Lektion hat sich in den Jahr’n herausgesiebt, die eine nur aus dem
Haufen Ballast:

6. Ich weiß nicht, ob es rechtens war, daß meine Eltern michda rausholten und —
wo bleibt die Moral?
Die Schlauen diskutier’n, die Besserwisser streiten sich, ich weiß es nicht,
es ist mir auch egal.
Ich weiß nur eins, ich wünsche allen Kindern auf der Welt, und nicht zuletzt
natürlich dir, mein Kind,
wenn’s brenzlig wird, wenn’s schiefgeht, wenn die Welt zusammenfällt, Eltern,
