Ich gab ihm meine Probs, er mir sein Demo-Tape
Von sich und seinen Bonner Kollegen von D.U.G
Dann hat Nattyflo uns Headz gezeigt
Wie man chantet und singt in Jamaican Style
Und wir wussten gleich, das wird fruchtbar sein
Und so kam’s zur Hiphop-Reggae-Combination
Babylon war unsere erste Single
Wir hab’n dabei gespürt, dass uns mehr verbindet
Und dann lud mich Nosliw ein zum steil gehen
Ich sollt' am Wochenende auf ner Jam sing'
Und aus der Jam wurde ne Tournee
Und ich hab nach dem Rappen für Flo aufgelegt
Und hab mitgesungen, Mann, ich leckte Blut
Und ich wurde immer mehr zu nem Reggae Youth
Und Natty nahm mich mit auf Soundsystem-Gigs
Von Dance zu Dance durch die Republik
Um gemeinsam noch mehr live zu spiel’n
Und aus mir und ihm wurd' ein Dancehall-Team
Wir stellten uns so der Massive vor
Hatten bei Rootdown unser Soundlabor
Machten manche Nacht durch Studio-Action
Und für die Soundbwoys Dubplate-Sessions
Darauf folgten immer mehr Events
Irgendwann ging es los mit ner Backing-Band
Auf die Festivals und wir konnten seh’n
Wie das Publikum uns’re Texte singt
Oh ja wir sind dankbar, denn wir wissen, dass wir gesegnet sind
Mit den Menschen, die uns begegneten
So was passiert, wenn sich Wege kreuzen
Ein jeder kennt das bei seinen Freunden
