Das Ultimatum (original)

Eine Zuruecknahme der Schoepfungseschichte in sieben Tagen)
Er hatte einen Brief verfasst
Der lautete wie folgt:
«Hier ist mein Ultimatum an die Welt
Wenn binnen sieben Tagen nicht
Wer kommt, um mich zu sehn
Dann zahle ich das letzte Loesegeld
Ich habe mich verproviantiert
Fuer eine Woche knapp
Die Tuer verschlossen und geh nirgends hin
Ich bin kein Philosoph, und doch:
Ich fuehre den Beweis
Seid sicher, dass ich nicht umnachtet bin.»
So sehn wir ihn am zweiten Tag:
Die Tuer ist unberuehrt
Er waescht sich, macht sich Fruehstueck, ganz normal
Dann weiss er nicht genau, wohin
Mit sich und seiner Zeit
Hoert Radio, durchblaettert ein Journal
Es wird auch Mittag, irgendwie
Der Rundfunk hat’s bezeugt
Er geht zum Herd und braet sich ein Kotelett
Dann greift er sich Immanuel Kant
Sieht fern bis null Uhr zehn
Schlaeft ein in seinem ungemachten Bett
So sehn wir ihn am dritten Tag:
Um elf klopft jemand an!
Er hat verschlafen, schiesst jetzt hellwach auf!
Der draussen mumelt so etwas wie
«…habe mich geirrt…»
Und steigt dann in den naechsten Stock hinauf
Es braucht nun eine ganze Zeit
Bis dass er das verdaut
Und was sich auch kocht, es schmeckt ihm nicht
Er merkt an sich, wieviel er trinkt
Und dass des nachts was saust
Und dass er mit sich Selbstgespräche spricht
So sehn wir ihn am vierten Tag:
Ein Stockwerk unter ihm
Wurd' scheinbar heute frueh ein Kind gebor’n
Da kraeht es und da poltert es
Der Mutterkuchen dampft
Und er hat einen Hosenknopf verlor’n
Und als der Tag zur Neige geht:
Ein Stockwerk ueber ihm
Ist eine alte Frau mit Sterben dran
Ihm kommt es vor, als saesse er
Im Fahrstuhl, zweiter Stock
Der haelt am siebten Tag dort oben an
So sehn wir ihn am fuenften Tag:
Das Fernsehn ist kaputt
Ein truebes Fruehstueck ohne Fruehprogramm
Er stellt sich vor den Spiegel, bleibt
Dort lange Stunden sthen
Und merkt dann, dass er kaum noch sprechen kann
Er greift zum Buch, es faellt ihm hin
Er greift es sich erneut
Zum Lesen sind die Augen viel zu wund
Ein schwarzer Vogel fliegt vors Fenster-
Glas mit voller Wucht
Er schaut hinaus ins rote Abendrund
So sehn wir ihn am sechsten Tag:
Er fiebert und ist matt
Beim blossen Liegen tut er sich schon weh
Er hoert kaum noch im Treppenhaus
Das grosse Auf und Ab
Gleich nebenan steigt heut ein Balle Paree
Er merkt nicht, wann es dunkel wird
Er schaut nicht mehr hinaus
Seit Ewigkeiten liegt er steinern still
Des nachts erbricht er sich, als grad
Ein Heisssporn nebenan
Ein Maedchen zu sich nieder reden will
So sehn wir ihn am siebten Tag:
Er ist noch einmal frisch
Er oeffnet die Gardinen, beugt die Knie
Er fruehstuckt in Ausfuehrlichkeit
Raeumt alles sauber weg
Er pfeift sich seine Lieblingsmelodie
Dann reckt er sich, dann denkt er sich
«jetzt wird es aber Zeit»
Er nimmt ein Papier, schreibt «q.e.d.»

Er holt sich einen starken Stuhl
Und einen starken Strick
Und haengt sich ohne Augenschliessen auf

Das Ultimatum (translation)

A reversal of the history of creation in seven days)
He had written a letter
It read as follows:
«Here is my ultimatum to the world
If not within seven days
who come to see me
Then I'll pay the last ransom
I have provisions
Just under a week
The door locked and go nowhere
I am not a philosopher, and yet:
I'll prove it
Be sure I'm not insane."
This is how we see him on the second day:
The door is untouched
He washes himself, makes himself breakfast, completely normal
Then he doesn't know exactly where to go
With himself and his time
Listen to the radio, leaf through a journal
It's also lunchtime, somehow
The radio has witnessed it
He goes to the stove and cooks a chop
Then he grabs Immanuel Kant
Watches TV until midnight ten
Fall asleep in his unmade bed
This is how we see him on the third day:
At eleven someone knocks!
He overslept, now wakes up wide awake!
The one outside mumbles something like
"…I was wrong…"
And then climbs up to the next floor
It now takes quite a while
Until he digests it
And whatever is cooking, he doesn't like it
He notes how much he drinks
And that something rushes at night
And that he's talking to himself
This is how we see him on the fourth day:
A floor below him
Apparently a child was born this morning
There it crows and there it rumbles
The placenta is steaming
And he lost a trouser button
And as the day draws to a close:
A floor above him
Is an old woman with a dying turn
It seems to him that he is sitting
In the elevator, second floor
It stops up there on the seventh day
This is how we see him on the fifth day:
The TV is broken
A cloudy breakfast without an early morning program
He stands in front of the mirror and stays
Standing there for long hours
And then realizes that he can hardly speak
He reaches for the book, it falls to him
He grabs it again
The eyes are far too sore to read
A black bird flies in front of the window
Full force glass
He looks out into the red evening sky
This is how we see him on the sixth day:
He has a fever and is faint
He hurts himself just by lying down
He hardly hears in the stairwell
The big ups and downs
A balle paree is rising right next door
He doesn't notice when it's getting dark
He no longer looks out
He's been lying still for ages
At night he vomits when grad
A hotspur next door
A girl wants to talk down to herself
This is how we see him on the seventh day:
He's fresh again
He opens the curtains, bends his knees
He breakfasts in detail
Put everything away cleanly
He whistles his favorite tune
Then he stretches, then he thinks
"But now it's time"
He takes a piece of paper, writes "q.e.d."
