Годы прошли, я покинул свой дом родной,
Сколько таких, обречённых судьбою,
Как не легко вспоминать о тебе порой,
Как бродили с тобой от зари до зари
Над туманной рекой.
Люди бредут, спотыкаясь в туманной мгле.
Сколько ещё нам терпеть унижения,
Сколько идти нам ещё по дороге той,
От зари до зари, по колено в грязи,
Знает только конвой.
Крик впереди, вот и встала колонна вся.
Выстрел звучит, над тайгой потрясенною —
Это парнишка, отважившись в жизни раз,
Не успел отойти, как настиг его в миг,
Автомата заряд.
Слёзы, в тот миг, появились у многих лиц,
Злоба кипит в сердцах заключённых,
Сколько идти нам ещё по дороге той,
Вдруг раздался приказ: «Перебить весь конвой!»
И рассыпался строй.
Годы прошли, вот и снова на воле я,
Снова я слышу напевы гитар.
Милая, что ты смотришь куда-то вдаль?
Посмотри на меня, позабудь про печаль
И набрось свою шаль.
