С каждым словом всё дальше.
Мы думали выстроить мост,
Он из берега рос, он тянулся за строчкой строка.
Нас пугала река, мы спешили достроить его, на века, на века, чтобы больше уже ничего
Не бояться.
И пальцами хрупкие буквы держа,
Мы смотрели, как мост разрастался, как вдаль уезжал,
И всё больше писали, друг друга касаясь едва ли,
Словно был недостаток в строительных слов материале.
Мы не знали, что в той суете, в постоянных бегах
Был просчёт.
Мост разросся и стал отдалять берега.
Обмелела река.
Виадука немая громада
Равнодушно плелась в никуда, недоступное взгляду.
Не вернуть тишины предначальной, в моста чертежи
Не боясь перегрузок, другие слова не вложить.
Высыхают ручьи.
И боясь оглянуться назад,
Мы молчим, потому что нам нечего больше сказать.
