
Israel Philharmonic Orchestra is Israel's leading symphony orchestra, founded in 1936. The orchestra's creation was initiated by virtuoso violinist Бронислав Губерман , who invited European musicians to form the first permanent orchestra in Palestine. Initially, the orchestra was called Палестинский симфонический оркестр . Its first concert took place on December 26, 1936, in Tel Aviv under the baton of Italian conductor Артуро Тосканини . The orchestra is known for its performances of world classics and its collaborations with leading conductors and soloists. Israel Philharmonic Orchestra has made a significant contribution to the development of classical music in Israel and abroad.
