| As the author of the song himself wrote in a manuscript dedicated to the history of the creation of the famous |
| "Partisan Anthem", the song "is dedicated to the blessed memory of Sergei Lazo, |
| burnt by the Japanese-White Guards in a locomotive firebox. |
