Così Francesco in quelle paludi
Con gli uccelli volle pregare

Si incamminò…
Svaniva tra quelle grida
L’eco dei suoi passi

«Vi prego di volere tacere»
Ed il silenzio sulle paludi calò
E nessuno più cantò
Sinchè Francesco smise di pregare
E se ne andò…
