Deflect the Light |
Satan’s mirror glasses |
Always deflect the light |
Of the rainbow charm |
Satan’s mirror glasses |
Always deflect the light |
Of the rainbow charm |
When I was a young boy |
Playing with my brothers at the shallow bog |
We’d collect some insects |
And see if we could catch one of the singing frogs |
My brother held the dragonfly |
Just above the surface where the frogs had swam |
And then out of the water |
Jumped this fragile creature across the lily pad |
But then I caught it too hard |
And then it died in my hand |
Satan’s mirror glasses |
Always deflect the light |
Of the rainbow charm |
Satan’s mirror glasses |
Always deflect the light |
Of the rainbow charm |
Once I walked alone |
Silent through the valley of the Summer’s land |
I came to the rainbow |
Dissolving from cement into a pile of sand |
Waiting there, a golden stone |
A secret shining message for all to see |
But there, inside the cobweb |
A struggling butterfly is trying to be free |
I grabbed it softly with both hands |
And then I let go |
Satan’s mirror glasses |
Always deflect the light |
Satan’s mirror glasses |
Always deflect the light |
Always deflect the light |
Always deflect the light |
Always deflect the light |
Always deflect the light |
