Джованни Баттиста Перголези Pergolesi Перголези was an Italian composer born in 1710 in Jesi, Italy. He is one of the foremost representatives of the Baroque era, particularly known for his contributions to opera and sacred music. Among his most famous works are the opera buffa "La serva padrona" and the sacred work "Stabat Mater" which has become a world classic. Despite his short life (he died in 1736), Перголези work had a significant influence on the development of opera and vocal music, leaving an indelible mark on the history of classical music.
