| 'Twas the night before Christmas
| And in the house no-one stirred
| Not a mouse, all were fast asleep
| Toys were neatly lined up on the shelves
| Carousels, twinkling bells, soldiers, dolls and sheep
| All at once a rumpus starts to grow
| In the glow of the moon on the crunchy snow
| There was prancing, hooves advancing
| So I ran downstairs to peek
| Down the chimney Santa jumped
| And soon as he hits the ground, he let out a cheerful sound
| His eyes were sparkling as he bent on his knees
| To leave a stack of toys un-der the Christmas tree
| Then in a flash he jumped back
| On his sleigh and flew away in the night to another home
| As he grew smaller, I heard him holler
| Merry Christmas everyone! |
