Hillview |
We took our time because we thought |
we had it all figured out |
had a masterplan up our sleeves |
but can´t find it anymore |
we spent most of those nights talking about |
how we´d take this world by storm |
and the stories we could tell |
when we found our way back home |
and still the city is lieing in mist down by the hill ever since that day that |
i went away |
and to be honest i don´t care |
about your opinion anymore |
i tried my best to keep it together |
when you kept cutting of the ropes |
you don´t know that our flag´s still waving |
high up on that hill |
where we ones swore to youth |
with an unsaid promise: |
won´t grow up now and never will! |
And still the city is lieing in mist down by the hill ever since that day that |
i went away |
and as simple as it sounds |
it couldn´t be any harder to say |
but this city has changed a lot more |
than i thought it ever could |
and some memories are blurry |
some that i drank down the drain |
but i know that in the back of my head |
a wistful feeling will always stay |
about whatever it was that has stopped the rain |
