Сидней Беше (full name: Сидней Джозеф Беше ) was an American-French jazz musician, born in 1897 in the United States. He was an outstanding clarinetist and soprano saxophonist, one of the pioneers of traditional jazz. Беше played a key role in the development of the New Orleans and Chicago styles and also contributed to the popularization of jazz in Europe. His work had a significant influence on musicians in North America and Europe.
