
John Wetton (1949–2017) was a British rock musician, vocalist, bassist, guitarist, keyboardist, songwriter, and producer. Born in Derby, England, he became a prominent figure in progressive rock. Wetton was a member of several influential bands, including Mogul Thrash, Family, King Crimson, Roxy Music, Uriah Heep, UK, Asia, and Wishbone Ash. His tenure with King Crimson (1972–1974) produced iconic albums like "Larks' Tongues in Aspic" and "Red". As the frontman of Asia, he achieved commercial success with hits like "Heat of the Moment". Wetton's contributions to rock and progressive music remain influential.
