Joe Perry (full name Anthony Joseph Perry ) is an American guitarist and songwriter, born September 10, 1950, in the United States. He is best known as a founder and member of Aerosmith , one of the most successful rock bands in history. Joe Perry made significant contributions to hard rock, and his guitar parts became the hallmark of such hits as "Dream On" , "Walk This Way" , and "Sweet Emotion" . Rolling Stone magazine included him in the list of the 100 greatest guitarists of all time, where he was ranked 48th in 2003 and 84th in 2011.
