DJ Spooky (real name Paul D. Miller) is an American electronic and experimental hip-hop musician born on September 6, 1970. His work spans the genres of electronica and dance music. DJ Spooky is known as a record player, music producer, philosopher, and writer. He took his stage name from the character The Subliminal Kid in William S. Burroughs' novel Nova Express.
