In der Prüfung sollte er tanzen, wollt´ sich nicht blamieren, hat es nicht
gemacht.
Doch was wäre wenn,
wär es das gewesen?
Wär es das Leben, von dem man träumt?
Jeder hat Chancen schon vergeben, doch nichts passiert ohne Grund.
Und was wäre wenn, alle unsre Schritte, die einzig wahren wären?
Würden wir wissen, was es heißt zu leben, wenn nichts anderes kommt und nichts
passiert?
Uns nichts passiert.
Werd´ ich ihn heute fragen?
Bereut er nichts, so wie es kam?
Und dann zeigt er die alten Bilder, als einen Gruß aus früheren Jahren.
Sein Glück fand er nicht nur in träumen, die Frau für´s Leben auf ´nem andern
Weg.
Und seine Zukunft hinter den Grenzen, die Heute nicht mehr wichtig sind.
Und reden wir über frühere Tage, fallen auch mir die Momente ein.
Die mich in eine Richtung lenkten, könnte ich heute auch woanders sein.
Doch was wäre wenn,
wär es das gewesen?
Wär es das Leben, von dem man träumt?
Jeder hat Chancen schon vergeben, doch nichts passiert ohne Grund.
Und was wäre wenn, alle unsre Schritte, die einzig wahren wären?

Und so kennt jeder diese Fragen.
All die Skepsis über Ziel und Sinn.
Die an manchen dunklen Tagen, uns die guten Zeiten stehlen.
Und die Angst hat, es wird sich was ändern.
Und das Herz sagt, ich freu mich drauf.
Das Leben wird nie nach Regeln tanzen, egal was man plant, oder glaubt.
