| Every time I wake up
| it seems to be
| be the same routine
| Stuck in a rut
| can’t get out
| where should I be?
| Same old job, same old life
| gets harder and harder on me.
| Shed blood, sweat, and tears all these years.
| I put in so much, for what?
| Wasn’t born to live in misery.
| I know there’s more to life for me.
| Though outside I’m wasting away, I’m being renewed day by day.
| Even though, that I know this isn’t what life is about,
| it seems all the time I get down and out.
| So hard to stay focused, in this world around us.
| I lose sight of all the blessings in my life.
| Shed blood, sweat, and tears all these years, all these years.
| I put in so much, and for what?
| Even though that I know this isn’t what life’s about, I get down and out.
| But all my blessings, they remind me,
| that I must stay focused, in this world of misery. |
