| Gloria
| It came to pass in those days, that there went out a decree from Caesar Augustus, that all
| the world was to be inscribed in the census
| This first enrollment was held while Kvirinius was governor of Syria
| And they all went out to be enrolled, each to his own city
| And Joseph went out from the city of Nazareth of Galilee, into Judaea, unto the city of David, Bethlehem;
| since he was of the house and family of David, to be enrolled with Mary,
| who were promised to him, and who were expecting children
| And while they were there, the time came for her to give birth, and she bore her son,
| the firstborn
| She wrapped him up and put him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the hostel
| Glory be to God in the highest
| And peace on earth
| Among people who have the good pleasure of God
| There were some shepherds nearby who were out guarding the sheep at night
| sine
| Suddenly an angel of the Lord stood before them, and the glory of the Lord shone upon them
| They were very appalled
| And the angel said unto them, Fear not;
| Behold, I declare unto you a great joy, a joy unto all the people: This day it is
| born unto you a Savior in the City of David; |
| he is Christ, the Lord
| And this shall be a sign unto you;
| in a manger
| Suddenly the angel was surrounded by a heavenly host, who praised God and sang:
| Glory be to God in the highest
| And peace on earth
| Among people who have the good pleasure of God
| Glory be to God in the highest
| And peace on earth
| Among people who have the good pleasure of God
| When the angels had left them and returned to heaven, the shepherds said
| one another: Let us go into Bethlehem to see what has happened,
| and as the Lord has made known to us
| And they hurried away and found Mary and Joseph and the little child lying there
| in the manger
| When they saw him, they told him everything that had been told to them about this child
| Everyone standing around wondered what the shepherds were saying
| But Mary hid all that had been said in her heart, and pondered it |
