Nowhere do I see it mentioned that the music and lyrics of Kaleohano were written by Louis Moon Kauakahi, first recorded by the group Makaha Sons of Ni’ihau in 1981. Israel and Moon were both founding members of the group. The language is Hawaiian not Māori.
