Yazoo is an English new wave electronic duo formed in 1981 in Basildon, Essex, by keyboardist and songwriter Vince Clarke and vocalist Alison Moyet. Their debut single, "Only You", reached #2 on the UK Singles Chart, setting the stage for the success of follow-up hits like "Don’t Go" and their albums Upstairs at Eric's and You and Me Both.
