Destruction is a German thrash metal band formed in 1982 in Weil am Rhein. Known as one of the pioneers of the Teutonic thrash metal scene, alongside Kreator and Sodom, the band has been influential in shaping the genre. Their debut album, "Infernal Overkill" (1985), and follow-up, "Eternal Devastation" (1986), are considered classics.
