| You make trouble for yourself,
| And then you turn to the cause.
| I’m sick of forgiving these actions,
| So just put your life on pause.
| Then you try and justify,
| Your reasoning behind,
| You say It’s your job,
| You work too much,
| You need to unwind
| I say you could have always come to me,
| But instead you chose the drink,
| To blur your unhappiness away.
| So now you’ve got a new friend,
| And it sure as hell ain’t me,
| You feel more at ease when blinded,
| Than dealing with what you know you see.
| Time is called, it’s time to leave
| But you need to party.
| So you pick a guy and go to his,
| You wont be happy in the morning.
| You wake up with your head in hands,
| Saying you’ll never drink again,
| But you’ll be out in 12 hours time,
| Doing the same thing.
| I say you could have always come to me,
| But instead you chose the drink,
| To blur your unhappiness away.
| So now you’ve got a new friend,
| And it sure as hell ain’t me,
| You feel more at ease when blinded,
| Than dealing with what you know you see. |
