| Little Annie never had a Christmas, her family was too poor
| While walking by she saw a sign at the local department store
| It said, «Just around the corner old Santa’s on his way
| He’ll be here soon, tomorrow at noon» little Annie couldn’t wait
| She stood in line and when it came her turn
| She climbed up on his knee
| When Santa heard what she had to say
| A tear rolled down his cheek
| She said there’s lots of things I’d like to see
| Like a brand new bike beneath the tree
| A dolly smiling back at me
| But the thing I want the most
| Then she whispered in his ear soft and low, she said
| Christmas morning rolled around and she woke up with the sun
| She ran straight to the window if Santa Claus had come
| There was no sign of reindeer hoofs, no gifts of any kind
| Then she heard a knock upon the door and she opened it to find
| That poor little boy from across the road
| With a new coat and new shoes
| Little Annie jumped for joy and yelled
| «My Christmas wish came true!»
| She said there’s lots of things I’d like to see
| Like a brand new bike beneath the tree
| A dolly smiling back at me
| But the thing I wanted most
| Was to see the kids with less than me
| Find gifts beneath their Christmas tree
| Happiness and joy would be
| The first thing on my list
| A selfless dream came true
| Little Annie’s Christmas wish |
