| Early morning and I’m not at all dead
| The sun shines at half the house
| As if to say, there’s a day ahead
| Bells ring loud from an empty church
| Lights left on in my local morgue
| As if to say, you can always emerge
| One side of the moon was left dark just for me
| The bottom left hard to reach in the deepest sea
| The sun’s burning just to keep me away
| But I move closer every night and all day
| I don’t remember my lover’s name
| She’s got golden hair and sleeps with a smile
| As if to say, it’s all the same… but it’s not
| One side of the moon was left dark just for me
| The bottom left hard to reach in the deepest sea
| The sun’s burning just to keep me away
| But I move closer every night and all day
| I know today I’ve got something to do
| My heart drives me like a locomotive
| As if to say, let’s go somewhere new |
