| In a hate filled world with its superficial morals
| Once lived a little girl with a heart made out of gold
| And her Barbie dolls reminded while she cried in the dark
| That what she saw in the mirror would never look the same
| And though she wept, the thought she kept repeating to herself is that
| everything’s ok
| And though she hurt, and though she ached she woke up and walked to school by
| herself every day
| No friend to hold
| A kind word never told
| All she wanted to be told was that she was beautiful
| All she wanted to be told was she was worth her weight in gold
| She dreamt of the day Prince Charming would come and take her away
| But 16 years old didn’t bring no phone calls to her phone
| So something changed inside her brain
| No hope to find someone to love her one day
| And so she set out to find something to fill the void inside
| And so she went timid and shy, out with the boy who had caught her eye
| But the devil inside humanity, had led to his insanity
| The struggles, the screams
| The scars, her broken dreams
| And as she walked home, the thought crept in…
| Why me? |
| Is this the way it’s supposed to be?
| The emptiness left inside me
| Writing her final words in her math 3 ring
| She laid on the floor bleeding…
| The magazines took her from where she belonged
| The silver screen took her from where she belonged
| The media took her from where she belonged
| The age sixteen took her from where she belonged |
