| I’m discovering the woman inside the girl
| With all her claws and laws, 'bout how to live in this world
| She wants it open and she wants to keep it on the line
| To clear the skies of lies, to bear the fruit on the vine
| Yet, she stares out the window at nothing particular
| What’s in her mind?
| Is it the thought of the future, and how they will use her
| To let her climb
| Or maybe she is thinking of another way she’d rather be spending
| Her time
| I’m discovering the woman inside the girl
| With all her smiles and wiles, she disappears in a whirl
| Where does she go when she’s alone
| And she’s desirous of a real good time
| And it’s so real to feel, but she may never be mine
| Cause she stares out the window at nothing particular
| What’s in her mind?
| Is it the thought of the future, and how they will use her
| To let her climb
| Or maybe she is thinking of another way she’d rather be spending
| Her time

| I’m discovering the woman inside the girl
| I’m discovering the woman inside the girl
| While she is free to be, I’d like her safe and unfurled
| She walks the pathways of a primal set of rules
| That keep us all in a bind
| But in the heart of my art
| She will always be mine
| But she stares out the window at nothing particular
| What’s in her mind?
| Is it the thought of the future, and how they will use her
| To let her climb
| Or maybe she is thinking of another way she’d rather be spending
| Her time
