| Listen — time’s running out — sand’s rushing in.
| We’re coming to the close of our Millennium.
| And the words of the Good Book read just like Headlines
| And the prophecies look like they’re coming to pass.
| Earthquakes, famines, pestilence, disease;
| Wars and rumors of wars while proclaiming peace.
| As in the days of Noah, as in the days of Lot,
| We refuse to remember, and then blame it all on God.
| And the words of the Good Book read just like headlines,
| And the prophecies look like they’re coming to pass.
| Men will be lovers of themselves, unthankful, unholy,
| Boasters, proud, blasphemers, lovers of money.
| Unloving, unforgiving, despising all that’s good;
| Lovers of their pleasures rather than lovers of God.
| Disregard their mother, disregard their father,
| Disregard the power of the Lord.
| And the words of the Good Book
| Read just like Headlines… |
