| Looking through my hotel window
| In a third world country
| Yes I’m looking through my hotel window
| In a third world country
| The sun is shining the skies are blue
| And there’s a cool breeze passing through
| The plants are green it’s a beautiful scene
| Seems like a nice place for human beings
| But there’s people on the streets, no shoes on their feet
| They gotta hustle to get a little food to eat
| I know that things shouldn’t be this way
| But what can I do, what can I say?
| There are oh so many problems
| And I wish that I could solve them
| But even with inspiration
| Right direction and good intention
| No man is an island so won’t somebody give a hand
| For the people in the third world
| There’s people on the streets, no shoes on their feet
| They gotta hustle to get a little food to eat
| I know that things shouldn’t be this way
| But what can I do what can I say? |
