| Why is there a missing piece in everyone I know?
| I never have the right parts to make them work out right
| So they go on with their temperamental lives off track
| Such a half-assed mechanic
| I can’t even fix myself
| If you tip it over on its side, crack it open
| Then maybe you will find out why
| Look at all the wires that are twisted
| Do they make just a little sense to you?
| Maybe if you’re smart
| You can figure out the problem and solder it lightly
| But then it just might break again
| And you will be back here pulling out your hair
| Why is there a missing piece in everyone I know?
| I never have the right parts to make them work out right
| So they go on with their temperamental lives off track
| Such a half-assed mechanic
| I can’t even fix myself
| I’ll keep on stressing out
| If I don’t distract myself
| With something else
| If I don’t take a break
| It feels like a little game
| Picking at your brain just to get some sort of clue
| I finally think I understand
| And then you surprise me and throw me for a loop
| You put me back to square one
| I have to rethink my hypothesis again
| And if I do it 20 times
| Whose to say I will find an answer for you
| Why is there a missing piece in everyone I know?
| I never have the right parts to make them work out right
| So they go on with their temperamental lives off track
| Such a half-assed mechanic
| I can’t even fix myself |
