Talk To Me

I wrote this song because every single one of my best friends throughout my
life has completed suicide / although Bigg-E was deemed as a suicide we don’t
believe it actually went down like that… every verse is a true story,
check it out
See I just woke up / and I got that call / and da calls coming in this time a
night they be da type I don’t want at all / So I braced myself / for da really
bad fall / I was told that my best friend committed suicide and hung from a
noose on the wall / Now I’m all fucked up / and I can’t believe / That he’s
gone he was here just a couple months back as I wipe my tears witta sleeve /
and da break in my heart grows deeper than I thought it ever could full a
constant grief / I’m in my head going round and round thinking I coulda shoulda
woulda wit no damn relief / Now I’m flashing back / to when we hung out last /
I can see a little somethin' off witchya with the anger that you had was a
clear contrast / a the man that I knew with the childhood issues you could not
look past / Told me that you had another personality living inside a you and I
was saying wait whats that / Stop / Hold up a second and don’t talk so fast /
Tell me about it I wanna know exact / But he shut me up again hushed me up and
told me this is a wound that you can not patch / I said really you should get
it off your chest but he really got mad went inside and crashed / and that was
the memory that Im left with last
How am I supposed / (triple broken heart inside a me) To carry this load /
(rippin artery’s up outta me) You suffered in the silence (Emotions that you
hide from me) / Cus I didn’t know / (you can always talk to me)
No closure to be found / (stuff it down alone you deal with it) Instead of
talking it out / (tension higher than the ceiling get) I told you,
you can talk to me / (wasn't feeling it) You shuttin' me down / (You can
always talk to me)
Remember way far back / when we we’re just young kids / Now I’m talking bout my
first best friend where da 1st verse told how the last one ends / I wrote about
em in the pattern they died suicide was the cause this is how it begins /
Jumping on my bike on the Southside 23rd block Cowgill right around the bend /
And we played Nintendo / Llike all damn day / When you’re just a little kid you
don’t worry bout the time the hours pass away / Chase girls on the blacktop
together wit a boombox up on my shoulder in play / Bangin Warren G,
Hammer Time & 2Pac rockin from the cassette tape / We were so damn poor / but
we didn’t know that / all we knew was building forts rock fights riding bikes
movie nights it was tight like that / Til ya mom called up witta news that you
guys had to pack and move away / I didn’t see ya for a very long time as a life
carries on in a grulish way / Heard ya got enlisted and ya became a marine ten
hut / Went off to fight came home to find the girl you loved had become a slut
/ And it broke your heart / while the anger mounds / You gotta shotty and you
put it to her body pull the trigger 1 dead then the gun turned round
How am I supposed / (triple broken heart inside a me) To carry this load /
(rippin artery’s up outta me) You suffered in the silence (Emotions that you
hide from me) / Cus I didn’t know / (you can always talk to me)
No closure to be found / (stuff it down alone you deal with it) Instead of
talking it out / (tension higher than the ceiling get) I told you,
you can talk to me / (wasn't feeling it) You shuttin' me down / (You can
always talk to me)
Now we arrived at the last / but overall not least / my best friend Bigg-E who
I started H2D with and produced the beats / had a real big heart witta hole
inside from his kids that he could not see / and he loved hanging wit me in the
studio dropping another track witta major heat / although life was sour / he
dreamed it sweet / Making everybody laugh swear to God one of the funniest
people you will ever meet / Parties and the rap battles had in a RV parked in
the drive way side of the street /Put to song carried on in the rhythm we would
give em but we livin downtrod in defeat / then his health declined / and it
broke his mind / Telling mama had a feeling he was gonna die soon and it was I
who would in turn find / him dead and she got it kinda weird but she shrugged
it off in her reply / Checked into the hospital from a pain in the side that
would not subside / Then I got that call / from his mom and I listened / Told
me she been calling him daily but ain’t nobody pick up and it’s 3 days gone
missing / So I went to his house / and the sliders wide / Jumped the fence and
found him overdosed to death up on the couch where he died
How am I supposed / (triple broken heart inside a me) To carry this load /
(rippin artery’s up outta me) You suffered in the silence (Emotions that you
hide from me) / Cus I didn’t know / (you can always talk to me)
No closure to be found / (stuff it down alone you deal with it) Instead of
talking it out / (tension higher than the ceiling get) I told you,
you can talk to me / (wasn't feeling it) You shuttin' me down / (You can
always talk to me)
