UNCONSCIOUS, AND VALJEAN.
VALJEAN, WHO DISCOVERS THAT MARIUS IS
STILL ALIVE AND CARRIES HIM DOWN INTO THE
SEWERS TO ESCAPE.
JAVERT CLIMBS OVER THE BARRICADE LOOKING
FOR VALJEAN’S BODY.
FAILING TO FIND IT, HE
REALISES THAT VALJEAN MUST BE IN THE SEWERS.
HE GOES TO CUT OFF VALJEAN’S ESCAPE
AT THE SEWERS' ENTRANCE.
