| But there’s no avoiding elements of loneliness, and unfortunately,
| the only thing that helps you through that is calling your friends and saying,
| «I'm hurting» and they say, «Don't worry, we got your back.»
| And the only thing that helps you there is knowing that there’s a light at the
| end of the tunnel
| And I know that I gotta die someday
| So I’ll speed it up and blow out my brains
| And all my friends say the same fucking thing:
| «You'll be fine, close your eyes, you’ll be okay.»
| (I'm not okay, I’m not okay)
| I’m not okay, I’m not okay
| I’m not okay, I’m not okay
| (I'm not okay)
| I’m not okay, I’m not okay
| I’m not okay, I’m not okay
| (I'm not okay)
| I’m not okay, I’m not okay
| I’m not okay, I’m not okay
| (I'm not okay)
| I’m not okay, I’m not okay
| I’m not okay, I’m not okay
| And I know that I gotta die someday
| So I’ll speed it up and blow out my brains
| And all my friends say the same fucking thing:
| «You'll be fine, close your eyes, you’ll be okay.»
| But, you know, there are lot of sleepless nights, and there’s a lot of stress
| and there’s a lot of, you know, and sometimes your friends and family call you
| and go, «Why haven’t you done anything for a week?»
| And you’re like, «I wish- I’m just hurting.»
| You know, just, «Please ask me if I’m okay instead of yelling at me.»
| «Right.»
| You know there- there-
| It’s unfortunately unavoidable, but like I said, the reason anybody gets
| through any of this is because there are people in our lives that care
| desperately about our wellbeing and… Umm, when you disappear they don’t yell
| at you, they come up to you and they say, «Are you okay?» |
| and that, that alone,
| just somebody that you know is thinking of you and, umm, concerned about you,
| it gives you the energy to fight on |
