When I get older I would like to be the following: pro baseball player,
pro golfer, entrepreneur, a college professor, a video game designer,
a pathologist, or a musician.
I will go through each job and explain why I am interested in pursuing it when
I get older.
Baseball is my favorite sport.
You can also make a lot of money off of being a professional player.
Golf is my second favorite sport and you don’t get paid as much as other
professional sports although the upside is a lot of pro golfers play until they
are in their late 60's early 70's.
I watch a show called Shark Tank which is about starting, growing,
or saving a business.
There are new episodes every friday at 9!
I am excited to watch a new one tonight.
My dad owns a company so he got me into Shark Tank and the ins and outs of
starting a business.
I would like to be a teacher because then I can have a 3 month break.
Specifically a college professor because you get paid more than a grade school
teacher.
I would either be an engineer, math, or science professor.
I listed all of those subjects because I have the best grades and they are my
favorite ones.
I don’t play many video games because I am not allowed to and my parents are
strict.
Regardless though I think it would be fun to design a sports video game.
It kind of ties into being an entrepreneur too.
When I was in my last school West Chester Friends School (a Quaker school in
West Chester) we went on a field trip to the Penn Medicine building.
I think that’s what it’s called!
A pathologist is someone who examens dead organs to find a cure.
For example when I was in the Growse Lab at Penn (they actually called it the
growse lab!) they had a breast that had cancer from a donor and they examined
it.
They investigated the cancer and that is some of the ways doctors are trying to
find cures for many different diseases.
Lots of kids in my grade were disgusted by all the body parts although I
thought it was very cool, and interesting how they explained what each station
was in the lab.
My mom is an eye doctor as well so she convinced me to like doctoring too.
I love music.
Music is relaxing, soothing, and there are many different genres that can fit
whatever you like.
I wouldn’t be a musician like mozart or beethoven.
I am into EDM (electronic dance music) or alternative pop.
My favorite EDM band is Kygo and alternative pop is Twenty One Pilots.
In fact Twenty One Pilots is getting very popular but I am happy to say I have
known them since their first album called Twenty One Pilots.
I have many posters in my room of them too.
A lot of these jobs are a long shot but they have been my dream for a long time
and I expect myself to find more things that interest me through life.
