Procedamus in paceLet us proceed in peace
In nomine Christi, amenIn the name of Christ, amen
Cum angelis et puerisWith the angels and the children
Fideles inveniamurMay we be found faithful
Attollite portas, principes, vestrasLift up your gates, o princes
Et elevamini, portae aeternalesBe lifted up, you eternal doors
Et introibit rex gloriaeAnd the King of glory shall enter
Quis est iste Rex gloriae?Who is this King of glory?
Sade, dit-moiSade, tell me
Sade, donne-moiSade, give it to me
Procedamus in paceLet us proceed in peace
In nomine Christi, AmenIn the name of Christ, amen
Sade, dit-moiSade, tell me
Qu'est ce que tu vas chercher ?What are you searching for?
Le bien par le mal ?Good through evil?
La vertu par le vice ?Virtue through vice?
Sade, dit moi pourquoi l'evangile du mal ?Sade, tell me why the gospel of evil?
Quelle est ta religion ou' sont tes fide'les ?What's your religion, where are your faithful?
Si tu es contre Dieu, tu es contre l'hommeIf you're against God, you're against man
Sade, es-tu diabolique ou divin ?Sade, are you devilish or divine?

About the song

"Sadeness - Part I" opens like a sacred rite, its Latin lines drawn from liturgical and processional language — walking in peace, in the name of Christ, calling on the faithful and the angels to lift the eternal gates so the King of Glory may enter. It's solemn, ceremonial, almost monastic in tone.

That gravity is immediately undercut by a French voice addressing the Marquis de Sade directly, demanding answers: what are you searching for, good through evil, virtue through vice? The questions probe why he preached an "evangile du mal," who his followers are, whether opposing God means opposing humanity itself — and finally, whether he is devil or divine.

The juxtaposition of chant and interrogation gives the track its unsettling power, placing worship and transgression side by side. It doesn't resolve the question of Sade's nature, leaving the listener suspended between reverence and provocation, sacred sound and profane subject.
