| Crumbling worlds hung over me
| Waiting along there underneath
| Nobody knocks upon the door
| Don’t even know what we’re waiting for
| Forever pulled from the back of beyond;
| I’m just another come and gone
| Follow the sunlight from the sky
| Swallowed it all up in the life
| And then the world it seems to quiver and to quake
| We twist and turn away but never will escape
| Hide in the trees, the name I know;
| Watch as the sky begins to glow
| Moving across the dusty earth
| Waiting for something to occur
| And then I hold it up, it’s there for all to see
| All eyes come open, they’re returning from the dream
| And then the dark descends, dripping from the sky
| As it comes pouring in blackness fills my eyes
| Just when the world was becoming clear
| Everything slowly disappeared
| Everyone wondered what was said
| Lying awake there in their beds
| And then the world it seems quiver and to quake
| We twist and turn away but never will escape
| And then the dark descends, dripping from the sky
| As it comes pouring in blackness fills my eyes |
