| He stumbled in the Quik Stop, scared us all to death
| When he cursed at me for staring, I smelt the liquor on his breath
| As I felt my anger rising, you know the thought occurred to me
| I might be the only Jesus he will ever see
| So I turned to him and smiled, yes, he thought that I was strange
| When I said I’ll pray for you and offered him some change
| I couldn’t help but wonder, as he stared back at me
| I might be the only Jesus he will ever see
| And who am I to judge him, don’t know what he’s been through
| If I read the Bible right, it’s only something God can do
| If I can help him out of darkness, let him see the light in me
| I might be the only Jesus he will ever see
| I went back outside to the car with my wife and kids
| I felt like we were followed, turned around and it was him
| And though he didn’t say a word, oh, it really got to me
| When he looked at me and smiled
| And who am I to judge him, don’t know what he’s been through
| If I read the Bible right, it’s only something God can do
| If I can help him out of darkness, let him see the light in me
| I might be the only Jesus he will ever see, yeah
| I might be the only Jesus he will ever see |
