School days lived in complete exclusion and hate,
the pretty and popular will pay in precious blood.
They must think they bathe in a privileged state.
Father offers self-defense lessons after drinks,
that meager attention so needed,
but lies prone, passed out, dismissed.
He knows honor and revenge sits locked and loaded.
In its intimidation he sees the story end.
These cities with their attempts at perfection breed their bullied few.
The answer is cold, against his head, misled now dead.
And the treasure of life lies beaten and murdered all around.
The blank stares casting down
on this life, the society’s flaws,
on their lives, on these streets and how we’re flawed.
We’re all flawed.
