(As Yet) Untold Stories

I’ll know when I try
If my experiment was contrived
With luck on my side
I’ll be awarded first prize in my next life
One part of me can’t decide whether to synchronize
Our actions or save that for another time
I might as well dance before I dine
Assigned a new story to write
In bold letters I’ll type:
«to be honest and innocent sure is divine»
but those without virtue do just fine
I know when the season is changing from autumn
When orchids turn in on themselves
A gardener knows how to preserve in the winter
But how many others can tell
I know when each season is over
I’ll need to adjust to the climate again
I know when each season is over
I’ll get used to it all over again
