| Rainy day, stay and play
| Make my pain, fade away
| When it’s leaving the sky, even if crying
| Conveniently hides the streams of an eye
| Equally fine is the feeling of mine screened in the brine
| Heed this in mind, believe me I’ve seen the sea when it flies
| One of the secrets of life is peace amidst plight
| Being alright in the bleakness of strife
| A frequent sight is of a scene during nights when the streets get wiped
| But it’s really nice seeping inside of the sleeves at my sides
| Steam will rise as the heat is applied
| When meters high is what freezes in tides
| Free or dry of its beading decline means our demise
| Yet we surmise that meat of size is an easier find
| But creatures thrive just to keep us alive
| A beast dies and the people survive
| Behemoths lie in the green it provides and seem to collide
| With leaves and bind feeding the vines that so eagerly climb
| Rainy day, stay and play
| Make my pain, fade away
| When it falls from above, all of us drudge
| Through the squall as we cover up hauling stuff
| Appalled we duck under awnings to hover when stalling some
| Or walls are hugged and always someone’s gonna brawl when they’re shoved
| If it’s dissolving in gloves and our shawls the flood
| And gall become another call for a grudge
| Soluble dust molecules of our slovenly ducts
| Are altered when smudged, none walking wanna crawl through the mud`
| But what of the enthrallment there was involved in the love
| One recalls from months when dolls were still fun?
| Evolving does falter the young when smallness is done
| ‘cause taller we’re numb to lolling our tongues when we’d swallow what plunged
| And when you’re sprawled in the tub engulfed in suds
| With the volume up on a waltz while you scrub
| Halt your sponge’s revolving brush and following it deduct
| That balls which come from the vault of sun are what’s also in our blood
| Rainy day, stay and play
| Make my pain, fade away |
